Shangri-La Hotel, panoramic views in the heart of London

The Shard is London's highest building. On its last floors, the British iteration of the Shangri-La offers a dreamlike experience in front of an unobstructed urban landscape.

Contrasting with the London sky, the stripped-down, almost futuristic glass stalagmite of the Shangri-La overlooks the City. There, you are guaranteed an incredible view in either of the 202 rooms. Totally in keeping with the oriental elegance of the group is the simple yet sophisticated decoration, using silk and marble materials. Emphasis is being put on the splendid urban landscape that spreads out in front of you through the huge picture windows.
At the crack of dawn, do a few lengths in the famous Shangri-La infinity edge swimming pool located on the 52nd floor, listed as the “highest water tank in Europe”. From up there, you will enjoy incredible vistas over St Paul's Cathedral, the London Eye and Westminster Palace. You surely won't come only to swim though, as the infinity pool is only part of the larger Gŏng lounge bar. As night falls, you can settle in to enjoy – in moderation – cocktails or champagne as you revel in the incredible show of the British capital's sparkling lights.
