Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Presqu'île peninsula is Lyon's central district. It is very lively and includes shopping streets as well as the Place Bellecour and the Confluences Museum. This is where you will find the Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux-Arts Hotel, in a 19th-century building only a stone's throw from the Place des Jacobins and its charming fountain.
Each of the 76 rooms, arranged in an Art Deco style, has been decorated in cream, chocolate, mustard and pistachio tones. Book one with a balcony, from which you will be able to distinguish the Fourvière Basilica, a monument that you will absolutely have to visit. The hotel does not have a restaurant but is located only a few steps from rue Mercière, known for its plethora of bars, cafés and bistros for you to try. You should also cross the Saône and discover the charms of a traditional bouchon in Old Lyon.
