At the foot of the Croix-Rousse, Isabelle and Laura have reconnected with the tradition of the Lyonnais mothers in a bouchon established in a 13th-century house. Though the setting is rustic, and pink is on every chequered tablecloth, the kitchen contains all the codes of the bouchon in a light version and in a more contemporary spirit.
When it comes to the food, as was traditional in these worker's bistros, bowls of appetisers and terrines pass from table to table, while on the menu, it is hard to choose between the homemade red mullet quenelles with shellfish and crayfish sauce, pistachio sausage with potatoes or the pork cheek pot-au-feu.
For dessert, you will surrender to the lime and cashew cream cheesecake or the praline pie with praline coulis, a Lyon pastry that no one can resist.
